Zedd ft. Matthew Koma – “Spectrum” (KDrew Remix)
Sorry, no remix in Zedd’s “Spectrum” remix competition is even going to come close to this — it’s just not possible!
We recently wrote about KDrew’s remix of Adventure Club ft. Krewella’s “Rise & Fall,” and couldn’t stop raving about how heavy it was. Now, the New Jersey based producer is back with a remix of Zedd’s “Spectrum,” and I’ve listened to it probably 20 times since he released it last night.
As always, KDrew went insanely hard, but was able to maintain the essence of Zedd’s original masterpiece. But how could you possibly hit the listener with jaw-wrenching drops but keep any of the original’s melodic beauty? Simple, it’s all about the vocal! (And no, I don’t mean simply executed, just simply stated.)
KDrew perfectly integrated Matthew Koma’s vocals into his remix and allowed them set the tone. As they build, so to does KDrew’s track until it releases a torrent of bass driven energy — unbelievable. However, what I love most about this remix is KDrew’s implementation of fun synth lines during the drops.
This is BRILLIANT! Just listen!

This song was perfectly dirty
10 months agoI think you might be speaking a little prematurely. There are some really good remixes I heard that were better than this. Shreddie Mercury’s remix and Beewirks’ remix come to mind
10 months agoWell first of all, we can’t confirm that KDrew’s remix is even in the contest being that he is a major artist, and we haven’t had the chance to speak with him yet. However, I was speaking from the sense that this track needs a dubstep remix over any other type, and I don’t think there’s anything that will come close to this in terms of a dubstep remix.
10 months agoalright man…its a good dubstep remix for sure. Props to him
