We at The Top Sound fell in love with MitiS at first listen months ago, and wrote about him glowingly to show him to the world. His sound is such a welcome diversion from the madness that is usually associated with dubstep. MitiS makes what we like to call melodic dubstep, and he, Blackmill  (“Evil Beauty” will change you), or Adventure Club (in their softer moments) are the best in the game. To all my people who “don’t like dubstep”, perhaps you’re listening to the wrong dubstep. And you think you don’t like drum n’ bass? Listen to “Elements Of Thought” and prepare to change your mind.

MitiS’s Influential Past EP just dropped via Into The AM Records, and holy f*ck. We’ve heard “Written Emotions” before, which has to be in the discussion for my personal favorite track of 2012. But from top to bottom, this EP shines like a thousand suns. The emotions run deep throughout, the melodies are astonishing, and the level of detail is otherworldly. A beautiful effort from one of the most promising producers we’ve come across.
