Last week I hit you with a short preview of Madeon’s upcoming release “The City“ with the promise of a longer version this week. Well, here you are, ripped straight from the track’s premier on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show last Friday evening!

It’s hard to believe, but Madeon keeps getting better with each and every release. Sure, he’s only 18 years old, but he’s already putting out tracks that blow productions released by guys who have been in the industry for twenty years.

As I mentioned in my previous post on this track, “The City” is a return to Madeon’s glitch-pop style. Don’t get me wrong, “Finale” is pretty much my favorite song of 2012. However, I was slightly afraid that with its release, Madeon’s style would begin moving in a different direction. Yea, eventually he’s going to evolve as an artist, but i’m not ready for it yet! I’m still far too in love with his happy, french style!
