Many people would say that 2010 was the year of the Dutch. 2011 clearly went to the Swedish, there’s no doubt in my mind about it. So that brings us to a very controversial question: is 2012 the year of the Russians? While it’s still far too early to call it, Swanky Tunes, Hard Rock Sofa, Arty, Archie, Eitro, and many others have literally taken the EDM game over this year!

“Love 2.0” is Eitro’s latest exploration into progressive house and it does a wonderful job of maintaing the genre’s sense of melody, while really turning up the energy. I really love the sound choices in this song: deep plucky bass, airy xylophone like keys, piano, and of course, huge synths. Together combined they provide the track with a fantastic sense of growth and flow.

In a time when many of the Russians are pumping out heavy-hittying electro-house tracks, it’s great to see guys like Eitro sticking to a genre that so many of us love over all others.
