It’s official! Electronic Dance Music has completely taken over Coachella 2012!

Swedish House Mafia, Afrojack, Madeon, Alesso, Datsik, SebastiAn, Feed Me, Kaskade, Miike Snow, Sebastian Ingrosso, Zeds Dead, Mt. Eden, Avicii, Calvin Harris, Nero, Porter Robinson, Flux Pavilion, Noisia, Zedd, and many, many more! No joke, like 60% of this year’s lineup is comprised of EDM artists.

I am also impressed with a lot of the rest of the lineup including, the Black Keys, Bon Iver, Radiohead, Manchester Orchestra, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Florence + the Machine, and La Roux, just to name a few.

This lineup just further exemplifies the fact that EDM is quickly becoming the most popular genre of music in the United States. However, I am a little disappointed that none of the headliners are actually dance producers. Yea, there’s no doubt in any one’s mind that the Black Keys, and Radiohead are epic in size and popularity, however, will they put on the best headline show? I would argue not… honestly, there’s no way they are going to get a crowd more pumped than Swedish House Mafia or Avicii would.

And  what’s with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg headlining one day? Come on, they are old news… complete and utter rubbish if you ask me!

Anyway, I would give my teeth to get out to California for this festival. It’s going to be absolutely nuts! By the way, this year’s festival is a double-whammy! That’s right, back-to-back weekends! Friday April 13th-Sunday April 15th, and Friday April 20th-Sunday April 22nd!
