Adventure Club is turning the game upside down this summer — simply killing it with each and every release.

Last night the Montreal dubstep duo released their fourth original in the past 2 months, and damnnnn it’s fire! Similarly, to their massive hit “Wait,” they utilized a lot of vocal chops in “Retro City” in order to provide the track with a glitchy, upbeat feel. Naturally, in typical Adventure Club Style, the song is incredibly heavy, yet it still possesses a beautiful balance.

However, there’s something beyond awesome that occurs at the 1:25 mark — a tempo change! What starts as a dubstep track morphs into a bouncy moombahton drop. Seriously, this is a very rare practice in modern EDM, so huge props to Adventure Club for pulling it off perfectly.

Loving this track, and I really hope the guys put out some more “moombahcore” as they are calling it, in the near future.
