Foreigner – “Cold As Ice” (A.Skillz and Nick Thayer Bootleg)
Straight moombahton fiiiiiiire coming at you from a new favorite producer of ours out of London, A.Skillz, and equally talented Australian dubstep artist, Nick Thayer.
This bootleg of “Cold As Ice” by Foreigner is absolutely everything I want in a track. Stunning retro vocals, top notch production value, and that general feeling of control I often talk about on this site. Listening to this track, I get the sense that the artists had a completely dominant handle on this track. They were holding this thing by the throat to the ground and it never got away from them. They knew where they wanted this track to go, and they forcefully took it there. There isn’t a single this I would change about this one, ladies and gentlemen.
Enjoy the hell out of this one, and respect the artists for their selfless free download offer (download link on player) by checking out some of their other stuff on their respective Beatport pages.
And let’s take a deeper look into A.Skillz, shall we? We shall. When I say that this is one of my favorite songs of 2012 so far, I mean it. And it didn’t even come out in 2012. That’s tough to pull off. Here’s a the freshest remix of “California Soul” by the great Marlene Shaw. I’m gonna stop typing now or I’ll go all day.
And let’s put his mixing skills to the test. Try not to love this mix. How in the world are you NOT going to put this on your iPod. Listen to even 3 minutes of this thing and it’s game over. You need this in your life. The funk he brings is straight silly business.

This isn’t moombahton! Just because it’s 110bpm doesn’t automatically make it a moombahton track! Did you even listen to the song? It has a 4 to the floor kick with no dutch house aspects!
1 years agoNah I just post songs, I never listen to them. Oh btw A.Skillz listed the genre of this song as moombahton. Whoops!
